Review + Swatch: Etude House Any Cushion Colour Corrector and Cream Filter

Glowing, Supple, and Youthful Skin… My skin has never been so naturally beautiful…

I’ve been loving my recently purchased Etude House

  1. Any Cushion Colour Corrector (Lavender), SGD29
  2. Any Cushion Cream Filter (Vanilla), SGD32

and I’ve been wearing this combination for a couple of days. My friends are commenting on how fair and fine my skin looks 🙂 So here’s my secret!

But before I start, here’s my  YouTube  demo/swatch featuring these 2 products.. Subscribe!

Any Cushion Colour Corrector (Lavender), SGD29

The colour corrector cushion line comes in 4 shades, each combating differing skin concerns:

I really like this Lavender Cushion. This provides subtle but obvious brightening effect of my dull skin. Infused with hydrating skin-care benefits, this colour corrector sets a great base for foundation application. Its lightweight-feeling and watery consistency is unique unlike most other CC creams that feel heavy and sticky on the skin. I really like how it changes my dull-yellow tone into a flawless fair base for perfect foundation application (Watch DEMO here for half-face application of this cushion VS bare skin… you will be amazed by my transformation!). The overall is a naturally fine and bright complexion.

I like to layer this below my foundation/bb cream. The finish is a radiant and youthful complexion, something that I cannot achieve with just sole foundation/bb cream. For whether this product is long-lasting or not, I guess it performs quite similarly to my other founations/bb creams. Since I stay in the humid and sunny Singapore, I’m so used to touching up my makeup every 3-4 hours, so the longevity of this product actually doesn’t bother me.

  • Lightweight & Hydrating
  • Watery consistency
  • Buildable coverage
  • SPF 34 PA++

  • Acts as a base, but not as a foundation. Coverage (even though buildable) is not enough to conceal blemishes and heavy undereye circles.

  • Cushion + Casing (no refill), SGD29
  • Refill Cushion, SGD14

Any Cushion Cream Filter (Vanilla), SGD32

Oh look at that gorgeous HOLOGRAPHIC packaging!!

Consisting of 5 shades, the one I’ve picked is the lightest.

The product is a cream formula deposited into a mesh cushion, and can be applied with the included cushion puff or a brush designed for it. As a cream foundation, it feels dense and creamy; but provides a light-medium coverage that is build able, mimicking “Morning Radiance” as Etude House claims. After application, it feels sticky on the skin, but I feel that this eases with time. With the loose powder applied over this cream, my skin looks flawless… BUT it starts to cake up, with emphasis of my pores after around 1 hour. But when I applied it just over my CC Cushion without any loose powder, this finish is a satin and natural one, and feels very moisturising too (no caking). On me, the product doesn’t oxidise. But that’s probably because I reapply my makeup every 3-4 hours.

Overall, I like this cushion foundation for a daily simple yet radiant look for school. This works decent as a moisturising cream with coverage of a light-foundation. This doesn’t cover dark pigmentations, but it works well for concealing typical undereye circles and mild pimples. Nonetheless, this product if great if you are looking for a budget, daily, light coverage cushion.

  • Light-medium, Buildable coverage
  • Moisturising. Good for my dry skin!
  • Creates beautiful satin glow when just applied on its own
  • SPF 33 PA++

  • Appears cakey and magnifies pores with loose powder application (Product works good when applied alone, however)
  • Sticky finish
  • Doesn’t conceal dark pigmentation, but conceals typical undereye circles

  • Cushion + Casing (No refill), SGD32
  • Refill Cushion, SGD20 (If I rmb correctly!)

Overall thoughts…

I’m actually already stocking up on the Colour Corrector Lavender Cushion refills. It works magic with my other liquid foundations. As for the Cream Filter Cushion, I only like it for a daily fuss-free and light makeup look for school, but not for special dates and events when I wanna my skin to look flawless!! In all, this cream filter is still a good choice for everyday simple radiant look 🙂

Hope my review is useful! 🙂 And let me know if you like such review (blog) + demo (YouTube) combination?
