Today, I’m sharing my face cleansing regiment that has totally changed my skin for the better!
A little about my skin condition …
My skin remains dry and flaky despite being humid and hot all year round here in Singapore. It was really embarrassing when friends joke about my foundation flaking off my skin! And especially so, when my crush spots it too! So, I bought and tried many face wash for dry-skin, but often, these are too mild for my face. It’s just like washing my face with water!! 😦
After trying many more products, I finally found the one: Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush. I now don’t have to worry about flaking skin anymore, my skin is more refined, moisturised and supple, and that really boosted my confidence! (and helps my makeup stay on more flawlessly.)
Without delaying, lets go into my current cleansing regiment!
Dermatologist developed, this sonic system cleans better where I need it most. It removes impurities for a clear, healthy and radiant skin with clearer-looking pores. It doubles up as a scrub too, yet very gentle. The sonic action cleans more effectively than hand-washing alone.
The Clinique Sonic System is suitable for all skin types and skin concerns: acne, sensitive, dry, oily… all of them! But I’ld advice you to be careful if you are suffering from acne or conditions that cause inflammation on skin surface! But as long as you don’t go too wild with this, all should be ok! (This sonic brush is really gentle!)
The system is automated to vibrate for 30 seconds each time. For my preference, I use it 2 times (1 minute) per session, 3 sessions per week. I like to pamper my skin with a little massage too! On those days when I do not use the brush, I simply hand-wash with the foam 🙂
The brush is specially designed with two types of bristles for targeted cleansing:
- Green angled tip tilts deep into the T-Zone, forehead and chin
- White bristles gently but thoroughly cleanses larger areas like cheeks
The compacted but soft bristles reach deep into problem areas where makeup, dirt and oil party. The mild vibration from the sonic actions draws out impurities deep in pores (unreachable by hand-washing) for smooth, glowing skin, purified pores. Furthermore, anti-microbial technology helps keep bristles clean and fresh. YAYY!!! I use it with the creamy Clinique Foaming Facial Soap created for the sonic cleansing brush. The foam is oil-free and lathers up very quickly! It leaves the skin feeling soft and comfortable. If you are wondering, it is not compulsory to use the Clinique Foaming Facial Soap together with the brush. You can use any facial foam that lathers 🙂 But I bought it anyway since my previous facial foam was finishing!
The entire brush is waterproof (stop worrying about being electrocuted during use!), and the charger comes with a portable USB charger. Talk about convenience! Each full charge can power the brush to 180 minutes! i.e. = 60 weeks (3 times (1 minute session each) per week) WOhooo~ Perfect for the lazy girl (ME!)
Besides this Clinique Sonic Brush Head, there are other brush heads, each targeted for different audience, including men!

Perhaps I would invest in the Massaging Treatment Applicator later on 🙂
Beforehand, I thought that this sonic system is just like another typical scrub, which do great jobs in removing dead skin, but leaves my skin “bruised” and very dried out. But to my surprise, I could feel my skin much more softer, and not stripped of any moisture after the very first use! After a couple of weeks, I’ve noticed my complexion brighter, more refined and supple. My skin feels so much softer and skincare products sink in so much faster (they used to become residue on my face due to uneven complexion through dead flaky skin cells). I love that the gentle massaging from the sonic actions help firm my skin (Who can resist a V-line face?)! Talk about pampering the skin while cleansing it, here you have it! 🙂
